irst, let's take a second to look at when SWTOR launched. The launch date was December 20, 2011, not even 3 months ago. With any MMO launch there will invariably be those who rush to the level cap. That, in itself, does not bother me. If people want to pass up exploring and experiencing (not level xp) the game that is fine. The thing that really gets on my nerves is when those people complain about the lack of end game content.
I don't understand how people can complain about lack of content if they haven't explored 80% of the game. Maybe I am more sympathetic towards developers, but I can understand how long it takes to develop new content. It is not as easy as adding a quest, "Go herd X number of Nerfs". Content that is added to the game must be meaningful and well written, which takes time. Look at the development cycle and see how long it took them to make all the content that is in the game currently, and you expect them to make more in a couple of months?
Obviously, some people have more time to play than others. Maybe they took their time to explore everything about their class and even explored the world thoroughly. Instead of becoming stagnant with the current character, why not try another class and explore the rest of the content that Bioware created. Especially with an MMO such as TOR, where each class has a story, you will have different experiences based on the class you play.
Rushing to end game and complaining is like opening all of your presents Christmas morning one after another, then becoming angry when everyone else is still opening and you have none left. Pace yourself, enjoy the game, and explore the content. With an MMO there is a lot of horizontal play by trying different classes and class skill combinations. It is the opposite of a complete vertical single-player story experience.
This is how Yoda must have felt talking to Obi-Wan when training Luke, "I cannot teach him. The boy has no patience". Patience, my fellow gamers, if you embrace this trait, many more hours of gratifying play will be achieved.
